Teacher Training
Lifelong learning has become a popular catchphrase in recent years. The LBS faculty takes this concept seriously and engages in continuing education.
The LBS language lecturers regard teaching as part of a lifelong learning process. In addition to their academic qualifications, they are in close contact with academic institutions in their respective fields and regularly take part in didactic training programmes.
In spring term 2008, LBS hosted a seminar for blended learning in the language classroom (trainer: Barbara Buchegger, Vienna, www.teamconsult.at). At the beginning of fall term 2008-09, all language lecturers will attend a seminar on speech and rhetoric under the supervision of Karoline Ehrlich (Department of German Studies, University of Vienna and LBS). An in-depth workshop on teaching intercultural learning groups is currently being planned for the academic year 2008-09.
