DSC_3352We are extremely pleased that RHI, the world’s leading refractories company, and LBS have signed a three-year cooperation agreement.

The RHI headquarters are located in Vienna, but the company is present with production sites and sales offices in more than 70 countries on four continents, and it is currently further expanding its market presence in South America, India, Russia, Southeast Asia, the U.S. and prospectively also in Africa. RHI is known for its strong R&D, innovation power in technology and business solutions, and its global vision in diverse working environments.

LBS and RHI will collaborate in the areas of the internships, traineeships and post-graduate job placements as well as in terms of joint efforts in applied projects. LBS’s festive ball room was a suitable venue for signing this trail-blazing cooperation agreement and hosting some initial encounters between RHI managers and LBS students. Also in the future, RHI experts will regularly speak at LBS.

Congratulations to the Class of 2019

On June 28 we were pleased to welcome numerous families and friends to the Lauder Business School campus for a graduation celebration. In his welcome address our Executive Director Alexander Zirkler congratulated the graduates and introduced our Guest of Honor, the US Ambassador to Austria – his Excellency Trevor D. Traina.

Researching Real Estate Economics

Christian Reiner, senior researcher at LBS, has published a peer-reviewed article with the title “Concordance of office market cycles? Dynamics in European metropolises in the context of the financial and economic crisis”. The paper is joint work together with Robert Musil from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. It is published in the well-established, peer-reviewed German journal “Zeitschrift für Wirtschaftsgeographie”. The topic of the paper is strongly related to the LBS study program Strategic Finance & Business Analytics.
