Upcoming visiting professor Adriana Zait of AIexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi will teach a class on entrepreneurship in the IML program

Numerous LBS students and graduates consider embarking on careers as entrepreneurs. Hence, they have a keen interest in classes on entrepreneurship. LBS is proud to announce that the upcoming course in the Issues in Management lecture series will address some of the most cutting-edge topics in this field.

Professor Adriana Zait, an internationally renowned economist and chair at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Romanian Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, will deliver a course entitled Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial orientation – antecedents and potential outcomes. LBS master students will thus explore significant issues such as pro-activeness, innovation capacity, risk taking, and new business development. The case-based investigation will encompass the individual, family, company, and country levels of entrepreneurial orientation. The course is tailored to the participants’ actual career and research interests.

This visiting professorship proves beneficial for LBS in several ways. The IML students have the opportunity to study under the auspices of a widely published professor, whose further areas of expertise include marketing, corporate social responsibility, and econometrics. Among others, Adriana Zait held visiting positions at prestigious UPMF Grenoble and University of Konstanz. She graduated as valedictorian from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and was awarded the Romanian Academy Prize.

In addition to her teaching commitment at LBS, Professor Zait currently supervises two promising master theses in the IML program on Cross-cultural Differences in Entrepreneurial Propensity and on Consumer’s Attitudes towards Corporate Social Responsibility.

Professor Zait’s sojourn in Vienna is but another milestone in the intensifying cooperation between Romania’s leading research university and our business school.
