Prof. (FH) Mag. Julius Dem, MBA
Julius Dem is the Director of Studies for the IBA Program at LBS. He has extensive experience in many different leadership positions, including having been the project manager for the 13th European Maccabi Games in Vienna and having co-founded W&D Consulting Ltd. Specializing in Project Management, he has been teaching at LBS since 2008 and has developed training for and trained at many other organizations in Austria such as Post AG, Spar, and Siemens. He received his MBA from Bar-Ilan University, Tel-Aviv, and is a certified court translator and interpreter for Hebrew.

Mag. Christine Andel
Christine Andel has had a wide-ranging career as a German instructor. She has been a Lecturer in German as a Foreign Language at the Vienna University of Economics and Business as well as having taught at a variety of University of Applied Sciences. She is qualified as an examiner of ÖIF (Österreichischer Integrationsfond) and holds a Masters Degree in German Philology, Dramatics and German as a Foreign Language from the University of Vienna. She is qualified as an examiner of ÖIF (Österreichischer Integrationsfonds) and ÖSD (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch).
Mag. Dr. Christina Bazant-Kimmel
Christina Bazant-Kimmel has extensive experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. She is Senior Lecturer in Chinese at the University of Vienna and also lectures at different Universities of Applied Sciences.
She holds a Doctoral Degree in Chinese Studies (research focus: Literary Chinese and the teaching of reading in Chinese as a foreign language) and a Master’s Degree in Chinese Studies and English and American Philology from the University of Vienna as well as a Certificate in Export Management from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
She is member of the board of the “Fachverband Chinesisch” (Chinese Language Teachers Association of Germany, Austria and Switzerland), and a member of the following associations: Verbal (Verband für angewandte Linguistik), AILA (Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée), SHAN e.V.-Schulteam, CLTA (The Chinese Language Teachers Association, USA), GMF – Gesamtverband Moderne Fremdsprachen e. V., ALA (Association for Language Awareness).
Mag. Carmen Carmona Fernández
Carmen Carmona Fernández has had a long academic career. Presently, she is a Spanish Lecturer at Sprachenzentrum der Universität Wien (the Language Center of the University of Vienna). She has held several academic positions, including positions as lecturer in Spanish literature at the Institute of Roman Languages Studies at the University of Vienna and in Business Spanish at the BFI University of Applied Sciences in Vienna. Additionally, she has taught in Austria and Spain. She possesses a Master’s degree in Spanish and Literature Studies from the University of Granada, Spain. She has also developed Study Programs for several teaching institutions. She was a long-term examiner and assessor for the annual Spanish Language Competition held by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the Austrian Ministry of Education. She is a member of the Austrian Association of Spanish Teachers (AAPE).
Prof. (FH) Dr. Tamás Csermely, MSc
Tamás Csermely is the Director of Studies of the two Master programs at Lauder Business School. He used to work as the Head of Procurement at Quantoras, an Austrian technology-based consulting company, where he was responsible for managing the purchasing team, leading dozens of large-scale supply chain projects and also for the company’s strategic direction. He made a name for himself on saving 14.2% on average in several branches (base chemicals, metals, automotive, textile, pharmaceutical, foundry, construction, etc.) for the company’s clients – which in several cases were world market leaders in their segments. He also worked in the Emerging Markets/Quantitative Research/Asset Allocation division of Raiffeisen Bank International and as a research and teaching associate at the WU Vienna during his early career.
He holds a Ph.D. in operations management and logistics (University of Vienna), an M.Sc. in management and consulting (University of Pécs) and a Professorial bestowal (Lauder Business School). In addition, he attended Indiana University Bloomington – Kelley School of Business for one year. He has published several articles in scientific and professional journals and his research on managerial decisions in operations- and economics-related settings has also been featured in Die Presse. He is an affiliate of the Microeconomics of Competitiveness Network of the Harvard Business School and he has participated in several renowned conferences and held talks at the Universities of Oxford, Toronto, Cornell, and Shanghai. He also serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization (JEBO), the International Journal of Production Economics (IJPE), Applied Economics Letters (AEL), the Journal of Risk and the Journal of Business Economics (JBE). He proved his stress resistance by answering 10 questions correctly in the “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” TV show.
Andi Dalani, BBA, MA, MBA
Andi Dalani holds an MBA in Finance and an MA in International Relations, leading to a career in Finance and as a Lecturer. After the completion of his university degrees, he started off as an International Financial Controller & Analyst. Currently holding an Analyst position at CNH Capital in Vienna responsible for several CEECs. Lecturing Economics, Business Administration and Marketing, he developed a big passion for working with students and was ever since having a regular appointment in an educational institution. Having been employed for International Organizations (UN New York & Vienna, OSCE, Embassies) and Multinational Corporations (FCA, Eni, Casinos Austria) a unique and multifaceted knowledge of competencies and skills has developed.
Dr. Amanda Dunkel-Grimus
After gaining a Master’s degree in Commercial Sciences, Amanda Dunkel-Grimus wrote her Doctoral Thesis on ‘Austrian, Spanish and German Culture Standards.’ Since then, she has had a varied career, founding 5p Consulting and teaching at an array of institutions including the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the ESADE Business School (Barcelona).
Univ.- Doz. Mag. Dr. Claus Ebster, MSc, MBA
Claus Ebster has had a varied and widespread career in business and education. After studying in the US and Vienna, where he took his habilitation in Business Administration, he has taught extensively. Claus Ebster is associate professor (Universitätsdozent) of business administration at the University of Vienna and has extensive teaching experience at both the Vienna Medical University and Webster University. In addition to this, he is also the author of numerous academic articles and textbooks on marketing research, shopper marketing as well as the techniques of academic writing. Moreover, he is also the founder of Market Mentor Consulting.
Prof. (FH) Mag. Reinhard Edlmair
Reinhard Edlmair holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Sciences from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, WU Wien (1997), where he specialised in Transport Economics & Logistics. He spent a research semester at Northwestern University (NWU) in Evanston, Illinois, USA, and Nebraska Wesleyan University in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, conducting research on transportation logistics. Previously he studied at Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and earlier spent a year as an intercultural exchange student in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico.
Reinhard Edlmair has been teaching at Lauder Business School since 2007, where he became Professor (FH) in 2010 and holds the chair of Business Administration. He is the author of various studies and economic evaluations in the areas of Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Tourism. He is a Lecturer for Logistics at the University of Applied Sciences, IMC Krems and has held research posts at WU Wien, Donauuniversität Krems, Industriewissenschaftliches Institut (IWI), FH bfi Wien, FH Oberösterreich and with Krems Research.
He speaks German, English, Spanish and some French.
Roi Ferdinaro, MA
Roi Ferdinao holds a Bachelor degree in Hebrew Language and Jewish Language with a Teaching Certificate in Hebrew as a Second Language from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Master degree in Jewish Studies from Vienna University. Aside from his teaching at LBS, he teaches Hebrew as a Foreign Language at the ZPC School, Vienna.
Mag. Thomas Geldmacher
Thomas Geldmacher is a co-founder of the consulting firm Rundumberatung. From 2007 to 2015, he worked as Parliamentary Advisor on Cultural Affairs and Strategic Communication for the Austrian Green Party. He has held classes on the techniques of scholarly work, discourse analysis and the politics of remembrance at Vienna University’s Department of Political Science. Moreover, he has conducted wide-ranging research on aspects of the Holocaust in Eastern Galicia and on Austrian deserters of the German Wehrmacht during World War II, and he has also been a journalist for the Vienna weekly newspaper Falter.
Samia Geldner, MA, MBA
Samia Geldner holds an MA in Education from Stanford University, as well as an MBA from Webster University, Vienna, where she has been Department Head of English for over 25 years. She has taught a wide variety of subjects, including Academic and Research Writing, English as a Second Language, Business and Inter-cultural Communication, Leadership, as well as a range of Literature and Philosophy courses. She speaks German, English, French, and Arabic.
Tom Gilady, BA
Tom Gilady has comprehensive cross-industry and international experience in corporate consulting and project management within the fields of Human Resources and IT. Prior to his current role as Senior Consultant and Project Leader at IBM he also acted as a corporate recruiter. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from LBS and is currently studying for his Master’s degree at the University of Vienna.
Mag. Dr. Katharina Götsch
Ms. Götsch studied at the Universities of Innsbruck and Vienna and holds a PhD in Political Science. After internships at the Austrian Embassy in Washington, DC and the International Organization for Migration (IOM Vienna), she started working in social research. She participated in several national and international R&D projects including a FP7-EU project with nine European partners. In 2014, she moved on to work at the University of Vienna as Project Coordinator and Postdoc. Since 2014, Ms. Götsch is teaching research methods and introduction courses at the University of Vienna, the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna as well as the Lauder Business School.
Elena Gorelova, MA
Elena Gorelova has taught German in Russia and, now, Russian in Austria at the University of Applied Sciences BFI and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She is trained in the theory and implementation of the teaching of Foreign Languages. She received her first degree from the Moscow State Pedagogical University (Foreign Language Education) and her Masters from the University of Applied Sciences BFI (European Economy and Business Management). In addition, she is a qualified translator and interpreter of German and Russian and co-author of Russian Course Book “The Road to Success” (Facultas).
Univ. Prof. Mag. Dr. Wilfried Grossmann
Wilfried Grossman has had a distinguished academic and professional career. After completing his habilitation in Statistics at the University of Vienna he became the Professor of Statistics at the Faculty for Economics and Informatics, before taking up a professorial position at the University’s Faculty for Computer Science. Professionally, Wilfried has acted as the Chair of the Quality Board of Statistics Austria and Vice-chair of the Austrian Statistics Council as well as having been the President of the Austrian Statistical Society.
Mag. Paula Herrera Parra
Paula Herrera Parra has wide-ranging experience in the field of Spanish language teaching as well as translating. Having taken her degree in Spanish language and literature at the University of Granada, she now teaches, aside from her lectures at LBS, at the Vienna University of Economics and Business as well as the University of Applied Sciences BFI and the Instituto Cervantes. Paula is a freelance translator at Apsid (Barcelona) and at CEF (Vienna). She is also a qualified examiner of the DELE – Diplomas de Espanol Como Lengua Extranjera at the Instituto Cervantes, Vienna.
Vera Holländer, BA
Professor Holländer is a native New Yorker of Austrian descent. Her professional career includes decades of executive and leadership positions in marketing and business communications in both the private and nonprofit sectors in the U.S. and internationally. For many years she also ran her own branding and public relations consulting agency. Professor Holländer is a lifelong student of languages (Spanish, French, Russian along with some German and Hebrew), having earned a B.A. in Russian Studies from Hamilton/Kirkland College and a CELTA for teaching English from Cambridge University. She has taught business and academic English at Metropolitan University in New York City, and currently teaches English language and writing at Lauder Business School as well as at Webster University in Vienna. In addition, she works as a private Business English trainer, executive coach, and copy editor.
Mag. Alexandre Iellatchitch
Alexandre Iellatchitch studied Business Administration and Sociology at the Sorbonne University in Paris. After working as researcher in France in the field of work sociology, he joined the Department of Organizational Behaviour at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. He is a founding member of 5P Leadership & Talent Consulting, a company based in Vienna and Munich. He offers more than 25 years of experience in the vast area of leadership and organisational development.
Prof. (FH) Dr. Karl Knezourek, MBA
Karl Knezourek holds a PhD in Social and Economic Sciences from the University of Vienna, as well as a Master’s degree in Commercial Science from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He has also taken his MBA at the University of Technology, Sydney. Having worked with numerous organizations including Austrian Airlines and the Bank für Arbeit and Wirstchaft, he is a specialist in Financial and Capital Markets as well as Financial Planning and Risk Management.
Dr. Sebastian Koch
Sebastian Koch studied Economics and Management (Bachelor) at the trilingual Free University of Bolzano and finished his master’s degree in Economics at the University of Vienna in 2010. Since 2013 he is a researcher at the Vienna-based Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS – Institut für Höhere Studien) and holds since 2015 a doctoral degree from the University of Natural Resources and Live Sciences in Vienna. Since 2011 he has taught several economic courses at the Lauder Business School in Vienna: Introduction to Microeconomics, Introduction to Macroeconomics, Specialised Economics, and Applied Economics (planned).
As a member of the economic forecasting group of IHS he deals mainly with the analysis and forecast of inflation. The second field of interest is transported economics where one area of expertise is the production of economic forecasts used in particular for transport models. And finally, he develops short-run business cycle indicators which make use of almost real-time transport network data. Prof. (FH) Dr. Konrad Koloseus, LL.M.
Konrad Koloseus is a partner of a law firm in Vienna and practicing law at the Vienna Bar. He is a member of the examining board of the Vienna Bar Exam, and member of the Penal Senate of the Austrian Football League. He is a member of the Vienna Bar Association, Austrian Lawyers’ Association (Österreichischer Juristentag), Austrian-British Society and Austrian Society of Comparative Law. Konrad gained his doctorate from the University of Vienna having previously taken the LL.M. at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena and a Mag. iur. at the University of Vienna. Konrad Koloseus has previously been assistant at the Institute for EC- and International Private Law (Austrian Academy of Science), and at the Institute for Comparative Law (University of Vienna).
Prof. (FH) Mag. Dina Margules-Rappaport
With considerable experience in the area of Human Resource Management and Organizational Development, Dina Margules-Rappaport teaches various related courses at LBS and is also Vice-President of the LBS Council. Dina holds a degree in Commercial Sciences from the Wirtschaftsuniversität, Vienna, and has taken many courses relating to Project Management, Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. She was a HR Manager at emarsys – emarketing systems as well as a partner at Personalentwicklungsfirma ITO. She leads regular coaching and mentoring sessions and is the CEO and HR Manager of a private school.
Bojan Masirevic, BSc.
Bojan Masirevic studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Vienna University of Technology, and Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien.
With his rich experience of working on flagship projects of well-known multinational companies and as a specialist in Software Development, as well as in IT and innovation management, he helps organizations tackle the challenges of digital transformation.
His passion for explaining complex scientific concepts with simple words has resulted in tutoring engineering and business students in mathematics for more than ten years.
Prof. (FH) Christian Mehlich
As owner of his own consulting firm, Christian Mehlich has extensive professional experience in the area of Finance, Strategic Management and Leadership. This includes having been Managing Director at HSO Motors Europe and having lectured on ‘International Trade Finance’ at the International Business School, University of Applied Sciences, Bonn. He holds a Green Belt Certification in Six Sigma and a Diploma from the Business Administration Academy (Freiburg). He has numerous professional memberships including one of the committee of ‘Financial Services & Insurance at ICC – International Chamber of Commerce’ and of the Supervisory Board, HSO Motors Europe.
Mag. Ingrid Mock
Now, Ingrid Mock is a lecturer of German at various University of Applied Sciences in Vienna. Previously, she has led an Integration course and a literacy course at the Volkshochschule, Korneuburg, taught at the primary school level in Vienna, and, also, at the Goethe Institut in Guatemala City. She took her Masters in Educational Science and Orthopedagogy and Special Education at the University of Vienna and, before that, she studied Teacher Training (University of Vienna) and post-graduate studies in Inclusive Pedagogy and, also, Montessori methodology.
Mag. Daniela Musiol
Daniela Musiol is a co-founder of the consulting firm Rundumberatung. From 2008 to 2016, she served as the Austrian Green Party’s spokesperson for democracy, constitutional affairs and family politics in the Austrian Parliament and was, in 2010, one of the chief negotiators behind the first SPÖ–Green coalition agreement in Vienna. Before 2008, she was director of the Green Party’s parliamentary group in the Vienna Rathaus. Trained as a social worker, lawyer, mediator, and politician, she has extensive practical experience in strategic communication, negotiation and presentation skills and role development.
Sandra Pauser, PhD
Sandra Pauser holds a doctoral degree in Management from the University of Vienna. She is employed at the faculty of Business, Economics, and Statistics at the chair of Marketing. Pursuing her profound interests in Marketing and Sales Management, Ms. Pauser wrote her doctoral dissertation in the area of personal selling and published various academic research papers in renowned journals. Besides her teaching activity at the University of Vienna and at Lauder Business School, she is a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt and Krems.
Mag. Leopold Quell
Mr. Quell is a Senior Fund Manager. He joined the Emerging Markets Equities team of Raiffeisen Capital Management in 2008 with focus on China and Hong Kong. Mr. Quell studied Commercial Science at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Since 2008 he is with Raiffeisen Capital Management, 2001 – 2007 he worked for Tury Invest Gmbh, in 2000 at Security KAG, from 1997 – 1998 for the CA-IB Investment bank and during 1995 -1997 he did internships at ÖTOB (Wiener Börse AG).
Moish Raanan, BA
Moish Raanan has a comprehensive international background in the IT-industry, with a focus on digital and data-driven marketing, as well as more than 10 years of experience in web development and managing of web-projects. Prior to his current role as the Head of Growth for WeAreDevelopers, he also acted as a Business Development Manager and ran various e-commerce platforms. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lauder Business School.
Dr. Maria-Fernanda Ramos-Leitner
Maria Fernanda Ramos-Leitner has taught extensively at University level. As well as her teaching at LBS, she is Lecturer in Spanish Language and Business Spanish at the Department of Languages, Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics, University of Vienna and also Lecturer in French and Spanish at the Department of Romance Languages, Vienna. She holds a PhD in French and Portuguese Postcolonial Literature from the University of Vienna and a Masters in Romance Language and Literature (University of Vienna) as well as numerous diplomas in teacher training, quality assurance and examining.
Mag.a Brigitta Rattay
Brigitta Rattay holds a Master degree in Cultural and Social Anthropology from the University of Vienna. She is specialized in Medical Anthropology and did a long term field research on indigenous health and belief systems in Mexico. She is an international speaker on intercultural topics, ethnopsychology and ethnomedicine. Currently she is working as psychotherapist in Vienna and doing a Master’s degree at the Donau-University in Krems.
Dr. Verena Régent
Verena is Head of the International Office at LBS and Senior Lecturer with a focus on business research methods. Moreover, she is in charge of matters on gender and diversity. Verena has been teaching research methods and EU project management at the Universities of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna and Eisenstadt since 2013, and regularly attends teacher trainings. Before joining the LBS, Verena was working for the Austrian Foreign Ministry in Vienna and the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations in Geneva. Moreover, she gathered experience as research manager at the Max Planck Society in Munich and a small research and consulting agency in Vienna. Her focus was to acquire, lead and manage third party funded research projects (e.g. EU Horizon2020) on topics at the edge between social sciences and new technologies. Nowadays, her research interests embrace all aspects of diversity management in the workplace, particularly ethnic, gender and generational diversity, as well as the “new world of work” (digitalisation in the work place and informal flexible work arrangements). Verena studied Sociology and Socio-Economics at the Universities of Linz and Helsinki. She earned her Doctor’s degree at the JKU Linz in 2011 with a dissertation about the EU migration and asylum regime and its compatibility with Human Rights.
Ing. Andreas Schachenhuber, MA
Andreas Schachenhuber is a Manager at Accenture Strategy and also lectures at the University of Applied Sciences in Krems (IMC). In the past, he worked with the Würth Group responsible for Strategic Purchasing as well as for an Austrian Winery as Business Development Manager. He holds an M.A. from the University of Applied Sciences in Krems (IMC) in Business Administration, an Engineer in Chemistry, Biotechnology & Biochemistry and completed an executive training at INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau. His main focus is in the field of Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management and Managerial Accounting.
DR. Vesna Sesum Cavic
Vesna Sesum Cavic has much experience teaching in Higher Education. As well as being Lecturer in Information Technology and Mathematics at LBS, she is a Senior Scientist at the Space-Based Computing group, Technical University of Vienna, and she has also lectured at the Universities of Belgrade. She holds a PhD in Informatics (Technical University, Vienna) and has a Masters in Computer Science and also in Mathematics (both from the University of Belgrade).”
Prof. (FH) David Warren, MA
After studying History at Cambridge University, David Warren embarked on a career teaching English as Foreign Language. He has taught extensively at Universities in Austria and also in Rome. As well as specializing in Academic Writing, Business English and Intercultural Management he coordinates the Language Department at LBS. He actively researches the subject of English as a Lingua Franca as well as pursuing journalistic and literary interests.
Dr. MMag. Justo Zamarro
Justo Zamarro teaches Spanish at both Grammar School and University of Applied Science level in Vienna. Before that, he took a PhD in Spanish at the University of Vienna, a Master in Journalism (Madrid) and a Master in History (Madrid). He has completed his Teacher Training in Austria (Lehramt Spanish and History) and continues to engage actively with Pedagogic theory. Away from teaching, he has published his first novel. Currently, he is in the process of publishing his second literary work.
Mag. Ulrike Zehetmayer
Ulrike Zehetmayr is intimate with the teaching of German in many different contexts. She has taught at University of Applied Sciences (Vienna), Language schools (Berlitz) and at Embassies and, moreover, she is a translator in the fields of Engineering, Economics and Medicine. She has studied at Vienna (Master thesis on ‘The United States ands National Socialism’) and at Berkeley (courses in Journalism and Philosophy). In addition she has undertaken training in the teaching of German as a Foreign Language (Verband Wiener Volksbildung) and translation between English and Spanish (Department of Translation Studies, Barcelona). She holds the examiner license for the ‘Österreichisches Sprachendiplom Deutsch’ (OSD)
Prof. (FH) Mag. Joachim Zimmel
After completing a degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Joachim Zimmel has enjoyed a wide-ranging and rewarding career. In 2002 he was appointed CFO of Division Raw Materials AG, in 2009 he founded Zimmel Beteiligungs and Consulting GmbH and also became a Managing Partner and CFO of the ACCEDO Group and, from 2012 up until 2015 he has been CFO of Goldenboat Holding AG, Switzerland. Since 2016 he has taken over the position as COO at Goldenboat Holding, one of the world market leaders in barite industries, responsible for the operational processing business as well as new business development. After returning back to Austria in 2017 he has taken over the position as Director Accounting, Controlling and Financial procedures of Brantner Group, one of the leading companies in environmental services in Central Europe. He teaches Project Finance at LBS.
