The LBS Strategy has been established by the Executive Management together with the Directors of Study, Head and Deputy Head of the Council, and the LBS department heads comprising the faculty, the educational section, and also the LBS offerings and services. KPIs and feedback derived from evaluations involving the LBS stakeholders’ input have also been considered in establishing the strategy. The LBS Executive Management supports all departments with human and financial resources to ensure that the developed strategies can be realized.
Our Mission
Two strong convictions laid at the foundation of Lauder Business School (LBS). It aims at providing state-of-the-art business education to prepare our Bachelor and Master students for international business careers. Students benefit from Vienna which distinguishes itself as a major European business hub, displaying urban diversity and world-leading quality of life.
Applicability and employability are the guiding principles of the degree programs and extracurricular professional activities offered at LBS. What one studies here makes sense in the business world. Students are trained to communicate in several languages and across borders. And, most significantly, they are encouraged to practice hands-on in intensive project work, real-life business simulations and a compulsory practical training semester in the Bachelor’s Program. The Masters Program particularly offers the skills and expertise to move around safely and successfully in international business, be it as an entrepreneur, as a senior manager in an international corporation, in banks or financial institutions or as compliance expert.
Learning is most rewarding in an environment which caters for excellence in teaching, up-to-date library and IT facilities, innovative applied research, and a smooth administration. LBS is proud of being an organization, which actively listens to its students and employees to constantly improve its services. Building on a sustainable network with local and international partners and the growing alumni community, LBS is committed to career promotion and placement of students and graduates.
Whilst at LBS, students, faculty, and staff develop and refine the competences most asked for in today’s and tomorrow’s international business. Lauder Business School offers students the chance to study both the global economy and international business by merging the best that the American business educational system has to offer – in particular the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton – with the finest European business tradition.
