Incoming Student Mobility for Studies

Incoming Student Mobility for Studies

LBS welcomes Erasmus incoming students from our partner universities in Israel. The Erasmus+ Program is the action scheme of the European Union to support cooperation and mobility in education. For further information about the Erasmus+ Program, you can find the official Programme Guide under “Erasmus+ Programme Guide”.

Incoming Erasmus students can enjoy LBS’ first class business education in the world’s most liveable city Vienna! Come and join our international campus for a semester, get to know our students that come from all over the world and pick from our thoroughly English language study programs in the area of Business, Management, Leadership, and Finance.

Check out our course catalogues for International Business Administration (BA), International Management and Leadership (MA) and Strategic Finance and Business Analytics (MA). The course syllabi are accessible in your university’s International Office. The course schedules are available around 1-2 months before the semester starts.

For picking your courses, please mind the following:

Lauder Business School is a Viennese University of Applied Sciences (UAS). There are some differences to regular universities as well as to universities in other countries that are important to consider when you pick your courses.

UAS have a slightly different course system than regular universities tend to have. The appointments are fixed in advance, though they are not necessarily always on the same weekday or at the same time. Students have an obligation to attend at least 75% of the appointments. Therefore, whenever you pick your courses, be sure to look at the schedule for the entire semester in order to be sure there are no or at least hardly any overlaps.

Another specificity is the division of autumn and spring semester when it comes to the course catalogue, which is a very typical aspect of UAS. By principle, there are courses that only take place in one or the other semester. When you go through the course catalogue in your university’s international office, be sure to pick the right courses for your mobility term (1st and 3rd semester courses take place in autumn term, 2nd, 4th and 6th semester courses take place in spring term only).

The course catalogue is designed in a way that on average, resident students attend between 7 and 12 courses per semester in order to reach their ECTS load. For resident students, the courses are predefined for each semester. Exchange students can pick their courses as they wish and need. In the past we have observed that exchange students have been tending to pick very few courses only because they had overestimated the workload per course. We recommend having a close look at the ECTS per course in order to be able to estimate the actual workload and the amount of courses that are feasible for the individual student.
